Mohamed Abdirahman serves as the Managing Director at the Institute for Strategic Insights and Research. With over ten years of experience in the international development sector, he has cultivated profound expertise in peacebuilding and conflict prevention. Mohamed advocates for evidence-informed policy changes, focusing particularly on national and regional political and economic governance, and addressing inclusivity issues such as youth and gender. His current research concentrates on conflict transformation, international development, and political and security matters in the Horn of Africa.

Mohamed is advancing his academic pursuits as a PhD candidate at the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE), where he continues to deepen his understanding of global peace and development strategies. He holds two Master’s degrees—one in Peace and Development Studies and the other in International Relations and Diplomacy.

Suad Ibrahim is the Director of Researches at The Institute for Strategic Insights and Research (ISIR), She has over 25 years’ experience working in Research, Governance and Development. Suad extensively researches on a wide range of issues from Elections, and Decentralization to gender issues and is a renowned civil society actor in Somaliland.

Suad’s experience in development includes working with national and international non governmental organizations including six years of managing an International NGO as a Country Representative. Suad has strong background and expertise in local civil society

Farah Hassan is the Strategic Communications Assistant at the institute for strategic insights and research (ISIR)) where she works on ISIR’s communication outreach and oversees the design, production, and promotion of ISIR’s research and visual communication products. These include report design and layout, information graphics, data visualizations, and web and interactive design. She also serves as the Strategic Communications Assistant for the Somaliland II Integrity icon campaign and is a Junior accountant at ISIR.

Prior to joining ISIR in 2020, Farah worked as a volunteer for various not-for-profit organizations. Farah received her B.A. in Business Administration and development studies from Admas University in 2020 and is currently pursuing her Masters’s degree in international relations.

Deeq Osman is the Integrity Icon project coordinator. He is responsible for running the II Integrity Icon campaign in Somaliland thus providing programmatic as well as administrative support.

The integrity icon campaign builds a new generation of active citizens and responsible leaders around the world. Deeq Osman has over 10 years of experience working on issues related to community development and civil society’s as well as the promotion of effective governance and democracy. Deeq is also a research assistant who extensively covers peace development and governance.

Deeq has a Master’s degree in Governance, Peace, and Development from the University for Peace, a Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Kenya Institute of Management, and a BA with great distinction in Development Studies from Admas University.
